Public Speaking Training:
Specific Objectives
It is very important that you find out exactly what you are expected to
accomplish during your presentation before you even start your pre-program
research. If you don't get this information, you are open to complaints that you
did not achieve the goals of the meeting organizers. It is best to have the
exact requirements and expectations spelled out in writing. This can be handled
with a question on your pre-program questionnaire.
You will learn more about the "proper prior preparation"
and pre-program research in your public speaking training.
Just because this is a short article doesn't mean you should ignore it's BIG
message. Ignore this tip from my public speaking training and it could mean big
trouble.
